Everyone at The Cinnamon Club is delighted to welcome Santosh to showcase his modern and innovative take on afternoon tea at our iconic Old Westminster Library. The stunning menu is inspired by unforgettable collection of dishes that has been inspired by heritage of Santosh’s birth town of Siraha in regional Nepal but has been modernised and elevated to offer a new take on the traditional cuisine of Southern Asia.
Vivek Singh, Executive Chef of The Cinnamon Collection: “Having worked with Santosh for so many years, I was overjoyed to see his talent shine so brightly on Masterchef: The Professionals. The dishes we all watched Santosh dedicate to his mother – inspired by the lunchboxes she used to pack for him as a child – came from the heart and the response was incredible. They were breath-taking and utterly deserving of the reaction they received!
Spread over three decadent tiers, the tea begins with variety of chutneys and pickles such as classic coriander and mint, jaggery with tamarind and zingy mixed berry to pair with an exciting selection of Nepalese and Indian street food-inspired bites.
Expect big plates of goodness: chicken fried momo – savoury chicken dumplings – pulled lamb masala or vegetable pie, plantain doughnuts, and soya chatamari – a Nepalese take on pizza.
No afternoon tea would be complete without something sweet, and the showstopping top tier will feature a wonderful selection of Nepalese confectionery.Guests can expect delightful desserts such as chocolate yomari – a delicacy of Nepal – orange and polenta cake, and a refreshing mango lassi. All dishes are served alongside bottomless teas and coffee.
We believe Mums simply deserve the best, so that’s why we’ve created this once-in-a-lifetime event!
The afternoon tea will be hosted on Sunday 27th March with two sittings taking place at 12:30pm and 4pm.
Tickets start from £60pp and can be booked via link below.
