Spice and Wine Series

We at the Cinnamon Club have pioneered the pairing of fine wines with fine dining Indian experiences for the last 22 years and we are inviting guests back once again to deeply explore fantastic food paired with hand-picked wines from some of the most respected vineyards in the world. Joining you at the table will be the wine makers themselves from these prestige wineries. The evening, beginning with a sparkling wine and canapes reception, will be hosted by Laurent Chaniac, our wine expert, who will guide diners through the wine journey, explaining how the history, location and techniques of each vineyard affect the finished flavours.

Fabre Montmayou
Date: 21st September
Wine from: Argentina
Fabre Montmayou pioneered the making of single varietal wine from Malbec grapes in the hills above Mendoza and is one of Argentina’s most highly respected (and highly awarded) vineyards. Originally from Bordeaux, winemaker Herve Joyaux Fabre saw the potential of the region and its affinity with winemaking over 30 years ago and his name is synonymous with wines that retain a real purity of fruit, with complexity, freshness and elegance. Herve and his wife Diane remain as close to their terroir as ever, working to improve, adapt and excel in every single vintage. We are proud to bring to you these perrennial winners of the highest accolades from every major international wine challenge.
Pascal Chatonnet

We are so happy to showcase the wines of gifted winemaker Pascal Chatonnet. If you haven’t heard of him, it is because he is humble but Pascal is a superstar in the wine world well known not just for the wines he creates but for the labels he consults with.

Pascal Chatonnet is a renowned wine consultant who has been working discreetly since 1995 for some of the most prestigious estates in the world. In France, he offers his expertise to Château Montus and Château Bouscassé, Château Cos d’Estournel, Château d’Issan, Château Sainte Roseline, Château de Beaucastel; abroad, to Vega Sicilia, Alión, Macan, Pintia, Rioja Alta, Aster and Numanthia in Spain, Newton (USA), Mission Hill (Canada), Cloudy Bay (New Zealand), Principal and Quinta do Portal (Portugal)… to name only the best known.

Co-owner of the family estate Vignobles Chatonnet, which owns Château Haut- Chaigneau and La Croix Chaigneau in Lalande de Pomerol, Pascal Chatonnet has been in charge of the technical management of the estate since 1996, when he created La Sergue (AOC Lalande-de-Pomerol) in 1996 and l’Archange (AOC Saint-Emilion) in 2000. He has been in charge of the general management of the estate since 2008, and has been converting it to agri-food since 2019.

It is rare to find in the wine world today a single professional with so much experience and diversified know-how at the service of his passion.

Marabino
Date: 10th November
Wine from: Sicily
An ancient land cultivating wine for over 1000 years – that is what Marabino brings to us in this spectacular wine dinner. They are known for their quality driven product and their no compromise approach to wine making. Their location witnesses warmer weather, however, at sea level, they are able to create wines that are incredibly fresh. Marabino’s vineyards are driven with organic biodynamic farming, and it makes wines only from its own grapes: Moscato di Noto, Chardonnay and Nero d’Avola for red and rosé wines. We are happy to bring to the club, these high quality wines that are made without using synthetic chemicals either in the vineyard or in the cellar, and that are a great expression of the territory where they are born.
