The seasonal showstopper is the Shaan – E – Raan, serving four to five at £200. The kit includes a whole Mughal style Kentish lamb leg, slowly braised until meltingly tender with nutmeg and peppercorn sauce, jewelled biryani rice and 24 hour simmered black lentils. Sides and accompaniments include Sheermal – Lucknow saffron flavoured flatbread, Burhani raita with chilli and garlic and coriander chutney.
The Four Course At Home Feast at £50 per person is the perfect dinner table feast and includes bhel papdi chaat, a street style crisp wheat & puffed rice chaat; stir-fried Madras shrimps with curry leaf and black pepper; and lamb shank Roganjosh, a Kashmiri style slow-braised lamb shank; all complete with biryani rice, Burhani raita with chilli and garlic and 24-hour simmered black lentils. Finish off with Vivek’s famous garam masala Christmas pudding and warming nutmeg custard, made with home-soaked mincemeat and Cinnamon’s special garam masala blend.
A Cinnamon experience for two, the Delhi Style Butter Chicken dinner at £120 comes with the restaurant’s classic butter chicken on the bone simmered in an aromatic tomato fenugreek sauce; pilau rice, a rich Makhani sauce; fenugreek butter; 24 hour simmered black lentils and four garlic naans.
For a finishing touch, extras such as fine wines, champagnes, and Vivek’s signed cookbooks can be included with all kits.
